Home Health Aide Services in Lauderhill
Trained aides for the daily physical work, with a written account afterwards — meals taken, how the walking looked, what changed.
What you find out
The hardest part of arranging care from a distance is not the cost. It is that you have no idea what Tuesday was like. Was breakfast eaten. Did she get down the hall without holding the wall. Has that mark on the heel got worse. Families end up reconstructing the week from a phone call on Sunday, and by then whatever went wrong has had six days to settle in.
An aide assignment here comes with two documents. The care plan, written before the first shift, says what will be done. The shift record, written after each one, says what was. Accreditation by ACHC is what keeps that second habit from slipping, because an accredited agency has to show its work.
Aide hours are the base of most plans here. Everything else on this site is scheduled around them.
Done, and written down
The left-hand column is the work. The right-hand half of every entry is what gets noted.
Getting up and washed
Out of bed, washed, dressed. Recorded — how much help the transfer took today compared with last week.
Moving about
Walking support and safe positioning. Recorded — distance managed, steadiness, anything held onto on the way.
Food and fluids
Cooked and served. Recorded — what went down, what came back, how many glasses.
The house
Washing, dishes, a bed change. Recorded — anything new underfoot, anything stopped being used.
Condition
Skin, appetite, sleep, mood, confusion. Recorded, and raised the same day when it moves.
What families tell us on the first call
- A discharge planner has said going home alone is not on
- Somebody is driving over every morning before work to check
- Nobody is sure whether the medication is being taken or not
- A fall happened and nobody can say how
- The person doing all of it has stopped sleeping properly
